Question Labeling crochet hats

I'm fairly new to the forum and wasn't sure where to post this question -- or if it had been asked before.

Is anyone labeling their crochet kufi or newsboy hats?
If so, are YOU sewing the tags in, or do you use stick-on apparel labels on the inside?

My sewing machine isn't great and I'm not getting the results I want when I sew-on labels. I was wondering if anyone uses stick-on labels on the inside and how that would work. It seems like it would save me A LOT of time, but, the hats have crochet holes, so you would see the label through them, right?
If the customer removes the stick-on label, it might pull the wool or unravel it, no?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
