try a longer stitch to make the folds bigger if that makes sence

I agree that it looks like is gather with long stitches and then rolled as you go stitching here and thre? I am probably not making any sense LOL

yeah forgot to mention-- make stitches longer, probably almost half an inch, just b/c if your stitch is close together it will have an accordian look, and you want more of a gathered look

These are beautiful. That last site posted is amazing. How the heck do they have the baby do that? My kids would have never slept throught it and been that pliable. lol!

LOL...thanks funny, the babies look like doll and i dont think my daughter would have ever let me do that either. Common ladies, let try this, maybe we can make a tutorial since there seems to not be one already

Hmm I gave it a try and I think a lot of it has to do with the type of fabric too. Needs to be thick and stiff, so maybe starch was used? I used satin and it is all too floppy IYKWIM.
