Oh, I definitely starch and bake my itty bitties I make with 3/8" ribbon! Of course, I starch and bake most of my bows...

I starch, but don't bake them.

I just spray mine with hairspray and shape them. When I would bake mine they seemed to mess up in the oven and then they would be all lopsided.

I was having trouble also and baked and starched them and they are alot nicer and I like them a little stiffer to hold up to the pulling and tugging my DD does with them.

I starch, closepin, and use my hairdryer to get the shape I desire.

What do you use the closepin for exactly?

I suck at bows and I am not as good as some of the artists here But when I make my bows now and then one will want to turn a wrong way or not lay they way i want...I starch, close pin in the shpe or place I desire and then let air dry by the heater over night, next day I remove the close pin, and the bow is where I want it to be, no loops going AWOL
