Default Can you use scrapbook brads on bows?

I keep trying to figure out what all I can use to to dress up bow centers. Other than felt and material appliques, bottlecaps, wooden shapes or letters, plain buttons, and covered buttons. I saw some very cute scrapbook brads. Can you use those? Does anyone have any photos?

Thanks!

I don't see why not. I'd just make a little slit in the ribbon and make sure a sealed it so it doesn't fray.

I used some on some headbands. I just did what Judy said. I cut off the metal parts and glued them on.

It turned out really cute, I didn't take a picture though.

I have used them before for a center on a mini bow that I attached to a covered snap clip. I had some heart shaped brads adn all I did was poke a hole through a piece of ribbon and attached it to the center by bending the brad around the center of the bow and the ribbon I poked the brad through covered the parts of the brad I wrapped around the center.

Hope this make sense. Here is an old thread with the snap clips I made in it:

I also cut off the metal part. Oriental Trading has some cute ones now.

I've used brads on several bows & clippies. You can either clip/bend off the metal ends & then glue or poke the metal ends through a slit cut into the ribbon. If you cut a slit in your ribbon, make sure to apply fray check to the place where you'll be cutting 1st. Otherwise, there's a chance of fraying later on.

There are tons of cute brads out there to choose from now!

I've also used the epoxy shapes that are out for scrapbooking now - mainly the flower shaped ones. They work just fine hot glue.

Or if you have a woodburner you could use the pointy tip and burn a hole. I saw that in another thread on this site.
