Default Any Etsy sellers here?

I was thinking about listing a few of my items on Etsy, but I was wondering if you get good sales with all of the hairbows listed there.

Anybody willing to share their success/non-success with Etsy?

I'm an Etsy seller! I don't do very well with bows but I sale mostly crochet items and some tutus.

I think in order to do well with bows you have to relist all the time and I just don't have the time for that.

I sell on Etsy. I've only made a few sales, but I just put items in my store after having it empty for about a year, lol! I think if you put the time into it you'll do well, but it does take a lot of work and the market is pretty saturated. I've had more luck selling locally at parties and consignment, but I'm hopeful for Etsy!

I don't like Etsy at all, I only stay for the feedback. So I can send people there to see how my products and customer service are. My e-books sell very well on Etsy. I also know that loopy bows and over the top bows sell well, and other bows will sell well if priced competitively or if you are well known. It costs .20 each time to list, and you need to get up to like 100 items in your shop to really start getting noticed. I never recommend Etsy unless someone is selling e-books. Everything else is SO heavily saturated! But it's worth a shot if you don't have your own website.

I have been selling on Etsy for about 6 weeks adding a new item almost every day and I've only had a handful of sales. I think that Etsy is like everything else- it just takes time. I'm hoping that it works out but there are just so very many other bow sellers on Etsy it's not that promising.

I recently opened an Etsy shop in addition to my website & I've found that it's a great resource. I do sell quite a few bows regularly & I've had many new sales on my personal website from people who have found me through Etsy.

I do try to relist or add new items regularly, but even with the fees I think it's worth it. And I personally don't think my bows are terribly cheap, I think they're pricier compared to lots of other Etsy shops. I'm not entirely sure what makes them sell, but I'm glad they do.

I have an Etsy shop but I don't have my own website. I've only had a few sales and have actually been wondering if I might be losing some by only having an Etsy store. Like, if someone goes to my etsy shop from me handing them my business card & then see all the other bows and decide to buy elsewhere -?
For now though, I can't afford a website of my own, so etsy it is! And of the few sales I've had ‚ a couple have been from etsy customers, not anyone I've handed a card to, or known me.

I have an Etsy shop..my only venue of selling. I work very hard at it. I try to list things as often as possible and when I can't do that, I relist things that have sold. I figure on spending $30 on listings per month. Sales do not come easy to me, and I think I am doing OK on there. Good luck!!

Really after all the fees of etsy and everything you might come out cheaper with a website than with etsy. Its just more work getting it set up. (I'm such a procrastinator with mine! lol) I use shoppe pro and only pay $11.95 a month for my website. MyLittleMonsters did my layout and everything. Its a little bit of an initial investment (I think all in all I paid about $100 to have it ALL set up and including EVERYTHING) But its all about whats right for you!!!
