Default Using Felt for Clippies

I just made some cute flower clippies with felt, but feel that they are too flimsy. Is there a way to stiffen felt to make them not so flimsy? Oh, and I have just been using regular felt bought at Michaels. I don't think I want to use 100% wool felt because some are allergic. Thanks!

double up. Easier said if you are using a di cut. It makes the colors not so transparent also.

I think I'm ending up having 4 layers of felt.

the 100% wool you can't see through. So the colors look better. But I understand that thought.

I got a 1/2 yard of wool at hancocks for $3. That's a lot of clippies!
