Default Help, when making korkers

my dowls are staining and I have to have a specific WHITE dowel set only to kork white ribbon so it stays white.

meanwhile i'm getting black and red stripes on my dowels i'm afriad to use on lighter colors

is there a trick to getting the dowels to NOT be stained????

I have used the same dowels for over a year and they don't have stains. What temperature are you baking your ribbon and how long?

I bake at 275 degrees for 25 minutes.

I think maybe its gonna be the type of ribbon you're using and maybe the time and heat you're baking.

Mine were staining when I had my oven up too high. I have not stained one since.

It might be the UB or the Yama. I've used schiff with no staining at those temperatures.

Sorry about the stains!

Same here! Its a pain, but I just use red with red, black or dark colors only, and white for white etc...real pita, but its the only thing I can come up with too.

They stain from the heat not the kind of ribbon. I have dowels for my dark colors and some for my light colors. That should solve your problem
