Thats exactly what I was doing and I had noticed some of the bows I had made my niece were so badly folding up that you could see the under side of the bow and the clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I make sure I make a "M" it is 100 X better!!!!! Thanks for your input!

I need to get me one of the Gator bite and see if that helps my bows.

lol - read all the threads about what to do/not to do . . . think i'll splurge and order the gator bite and reduce my frustration.

is it worth getting the templates? i've been using quilting template material but then it's a 2 step - taking it off & putting it on the sally clip/gbite.

i think i'll search & see what folks have said about the templates.

thanks so much for all the info . . .

edit . . . found the thread . . . gonna go read now . . . http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/produ...-template.html

I personally did not care for the templates. They were time consuming. I prefer to just fold by hand, but if you have a little experience I would go with NBNG templates. JMO

I sew mine as well. I find that I'm able to have more control over the crease and how the ribbon folds.

So with the Gator Bite, do you have to tie your bow or can you still sew them??? I have tried tying them before and absolutely suck at it!
