Looking at the pics it looks like the sections are tied off with ribbon, not knotted. I like the link someone posted, but this particular style is not like that, it would be too thick in certain areas. I will try and get some stuff together to make it the way, I think it is. Hopefully it turns out good!

I made one! I did it just like this. It is BEAUTIFUL!!! although I used to much yard so its really thick. My camera is charging. I'll post pic tomorrow

Think of an accordion style baby gate. Where the slates meet you tie it off with ribbon. I was afraid just ribbon would not be secure enough so I used clean tiny elastics, then ties over them with ribbon. Hobby Lobby had instructions on this posted sometime ago.

she uses a lot of specialty yarn - you can get it at michaels, ac moore, etc. the other scarves seem more yarn than ribbon.

Yea, I've seen a lot of that yarn at Hobby Lobby. You would just lay it all out on a table and tie in different areas, I "think". Looks pretty.

I have made those scarves before. You take several yards of ribbon or yarn , lay them together, then tie knots at different places. Sort of like macarame(sp). Martha Stewart had directions to the "knotted scarf" on her website at one time.

JinxKitty posted the correct directions for the scarf. Very hard to work with all the yarn but it easier if you can hang it on a hook from the ceiling, then knot it. works up beautiful with different fibers, yarns, and ribbons.
