Default Attaching Bottlecaps to Ponytail Holders

All the girls HAVE to have bottlecaps in every form, so I was wondering if anyone has tried attaching them to ponytail holders like this:

(I love that image BTW--freakin' adorable)

How do I get the elastic to stay in place? I feel like if I hot glue, it will just slide right off.

Thanks guys! You are seriously the most helpful group EVER!!

I use the back parts of #45 buttons and just glue them inside the bottlecap and then thread the ponytail through the eyed back part
Hope that makes sense.....only the #45 eyed back parts of these you can get them through my cover button GBs....I just eneded one last week and if there is enough interes maybe will host another one in a few weeks

OKay, just so I am understanding correctly...

So, then we just do it the same way we'd do a necklace? Correct?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
