Red face Covered Buttons - How to do quickly?

Is there a way to do covered buttons quickly. I know they are easy already, but that little plastic thingie gets kinda warped after a while and can eb hard to do. I am using a printable fabric so it's a little thick/stiff but not too bad. I'd appreciate any advice. TIA!
