Default What do you use to wrap your bow center

I tried sewing them as well as wrapping with wire but don't get what the difference is?? What do you like to use best and why?

I wrapped with wire in the beginning, but switched to sewing when I got the NBNG templates (which I love!) I prefer sewing for several reasons:

1. more secure
2. less bulky
3. I achieve perfect creases every time following the stitches in the NBNG ebook

Same here... I sew my center and wrap the thread around it a few times (I use my own templates)

Good luck!

I either sew them or use that thin elastic cord stuff (it gives me a lil more play, if i accidentally got my loops uneven at first)

I started with wire, and switched to sewing because the wire bothered my hands and was hard to get nice and tight. But I think it's a matter of taste! I teach bowmaking using thread. I use a darning needle (big sharp needle, large eye) and Perle Cotton thread.

I free hand and sew...wire is bulky and hurts my hands!

I free hand and used to use wire, but have switched to dental floss . I place my needle through the center of the bow, fold the two sides down, then wrap the floss around the bow 3 times, then stitch it off.
