You know i have tried the baking and the starching but you know what i think works the best aqua net hair spray.

I've just used the starch and then bake them for a 15 mins at 250. Just enough heat to help them dry and makes them stiff. I never have a problem with the glue melting with such low heat.

And, I've never even thought about Aqua Net and if you think about it, if it could hold the ladies hair in a perminate position by in the 80's then it def. could do the trick for bows! lol

yes i figured it out by mistake, when i was spraying my daughters hair for cheer and noticed the next day her bow was stiff and pretty... Best of all it drys in mins.

i'll have to try getting some aqua net hair spray...it can be found at wal-mart right? does it have a yellow tint to it after a while?

yes walmart or i use sauve number 8 on them as well. nothing has shown up.

no oven they dry in like 5 mins, i usually use the time they are drying to shape the loops and what not the way i want them.

Hahaha, I'm old enough to remember and have used AquaNet. I also used it in college as a spray fix on my charcoal drawings!

For bows, though, I uses Aleen's Stiffen Quick. It works well for me. I just put my bows on a piece of cardboard and spray (before adding centers or the centers get spray marks on them).
