Default Interchangeable military hats

I'm about to get my first shippment for a show this weekend.

I know that a lot of you put on a ribbon loop to add flowers. Does anyone just make a loop out of thread or something?

I was thinking of just doing two parallel stitches out of matching embroidery floss. I thought it would be quicker to do, and I wanted to have it so that if anyone didn't want the look on it, they could easily remove it.

Does anyone do this? Any thoughts on why this may or may not work?

All of my tutorials are now available through my etsy store.

Check out my Tutorial Album on Picasa.

I have always done matching ribbon so that it doesn't stand out if you just wear the hat alone...where did you order your hats from?

I think the ribbon loop gives the clip a little more stability to stay in place.
And possibly easier for the customer to slide in and out.

With stitches only, maybe the clip would fall forward slightly - but I never tried it that way...
