I'm trying this technique out now making a tutu for my lil baby.. I think I have the 2 layer figured out..still scratching my head on the 3 layers...so just keep practicing or is there a visual tutorial somewhere that taught you how to do it??

Also how much tulle do you use to get it so full? 50 yards of each color? I don't charge that much for my tutus..I may have to charge more if I use over 100 yard of tulle on just one...lol

Holy cow!! 50 yards? 100 yards??

I would think you'd have to charge a small fortune! lol

Thank you so much for the nice comments.

My bottom layer is usually 50 yards. I use the 6 in tulle ribbon. The second and third level ususually are a roll maybe roll and a half.

I do not have a link. It really is just my crazy method.

that's a good idea! i'm going to be attempting my first tutu dress soon, and i've heard crochet headbands are great for those too..

yeah i'm totally confused now as far as what you mean about where you place the 2nd layer.. do you think you could post a pic, like just pointing out where you put your second layer? WOW! how in the world can you use that much tulle and still have the prices so cheap?? hope you don't live in OK, i'll never have any business

I have had a few ask about a tutorial. I can do one but would anyone be interested?

I have 3 different styles that I offer. I would include all 3 with step by step photos.

Your work is gorgeous, so I'm sure many people would be interested.

However, for me, the cost of a tut is a determining factor. You see, I don't recoup my costs for anything I do because I'm not in business. I only make hair accessories (and other things) for one person, my toddler granddaughter.

If your tut is not expensive, then I'd be very interested

i agree.. i do sell what i make, but i don't sell very many tutus, mostly hair accessories.. i've only sold like 4 tutus in the past 6 months, but that could be because i don't know very many people, most of who i sell to are my friends.

I would absolutely LOVE a Tutorial. I just made one for my daughter for Halloween. She was an 80' Pop Princess. It is different lengths. Yes I made it that way. I wanted the kind of torn look! lol I will see if I can post a pic or not!
