Default How to make this tutu

How on earth do you make a tutu this .... well..... poofy, for lack of a better word? Obviously, there's a ton of tulle, but what about the construction? Any ideas girls? TIA!

Well, I do push my knots together as close as I can, but the fabric certainly doesn't stick straight out to the sides. Do ya'll use 2 pieces of tulle per knot, or just one? I only use one, and I just don't feel that mine look as full as these.

That looks like mine.
I agree with the above, push the knots closer together and make sure you cut your elastic at least an inch or 2 less than your actual measurement. I just keep adding until there is a little bit of tension.

When you use 3, 4 , 5 pieces of tulle in one knot - doesn't your knot get huge and out of control?

Does anyone have close ups up their knots so I can take a peak?

It's tulle so there isn't much bulk to it...the knots are probably bigger than if you use one piece but not big enough to be noticably huge. I do some tutu's with square knots and some with the "loop" kind of knot, not sure how to describe that one but I know there are examples on the forum of how to do it...If I get a chance later I will take pics of my knots for you.
