Not sure if this helps but it's what I do
I like this idea about the stitches, I usually use fabri-tac on the ends, but the ribbon still gets uneven towards the middle, but I think this idea might work for me. Thanks!

when you heat and bond does it make the ribbon really stiff i tried the fabric tac on the whole piece of ribbon and it was so stiff once it dried i had to throw it out tia
