Default Glitter Ribbon Korkers?

Hi everyone

I am trying to make some glitter ribbon korkers,
I have curled the ribbon and it wont hold the curl, is it possible to make korkers from this stuff - or am I fighting a lost cause?

if it is possible, is anyone able to give me some tips?

TIA

I've never actually tried to Kork glitter ribbon (would be super cute though but when I have stubborn ribbon (like satin) that doesn't want to stay korked then starch usually works. You may have to soak it down and bake it for longer and maybe repeat the process a few times. Let us know if you get it to work

No luck here either...I think it's the same with velvet - it just doesn't hold the curl. The only thing that korks great is the silver and gold metallic but it's a grosgrain base.

The cheapy glitter ribbon that was found at Christmas time at Joanns last year, holds kork well, I have glitter korkers in all the colors from there, never had an issue with it coming un curled

Thanks everyone,
I have tried and tried and it wont work,
I have starched and baked 4 times, starched some more and hair dryer (I read somewhere that was effective)

RE; fabric stiffener I am in Aus, so I have no idea what we have here, I would have to have a look when I am out next - is it juvenile that I had a giggle at 'stiffi'? lol

I knew that it would look so so cute, I was thinking Christmas Korkers! - which meant it was too good to be true! lol

aside from Headbands, what else can I do with it?

How about spraying them with glitter spray once they are made? I only make bows for my daughter, but I have successfully sprayed her bows and flowers with glitter and they came out really cute. I have a few Korkers made up right now, off to spray them with glitter and see how they turn out....
