Default Is there a way to make flower clips poofy?

I had a request today for a "non-flat" gerbera daisy flower clip. I guess I didn't realize that there might be a way to make flower clips "non-flat" or "more poofy" Does anyone know how to do this?

I'm not sure I understand this exactly, but I know I don't like mine to lay flat. What I do is when gluing every layer I mold it with my finger by putting one finger in the center and pressing up from the bottom with my other hand (does that make sense??). I also sometimes us the plastic forms that come with some flowers to make them stand up and fluff.

Thanks! I have thought about using the plastic forms but I'm not sure how to keep the form covered up on the bottom... they are kinda ugly. But I'm sick of my flowers being flat!
