Default bow board question

So I've made a few bow boards now like this - my problem is this: after they're used a few times the ribbon gets loose - it stretches. What do I do? Thanks in advance

You can tack down ribbon with dots of glue every few inches. But, it will limit the amount of bows/clips you can put on the board.

PS-your board is adorable. the clips look great!

I've tried glue and staples - together and separate

thanks so much - I'm using them for display so I'd like to fit as many on as possible

do you wash and DRY your ribbon first before you attach to the board? doing so will shrink the ribbon...

also are you stapling the ribbon directly to the frame? use at least 2 staples to attach.

on your backer board you could use brads to make a junction at the crosses.... use the wood burner with the long pointy tip to burn a small hole thru the ribbon so you can attach the brad

HTH

I never thought to wash and dry the ribbon - I'll try it tomorrow. How much will it shrink? Should I cut it before or after? Thanks so much!

so smart! you ladies are really on your game!!!

But I think that if people are constantly tugging, taking them off and putting them back on, the ribbons are going to loosen at least a little bit.

Ooh, an idea! what if you use grommets on the top and bottom of each ribbon. I guess that is along the brad idea. Can glue a flower in the center of each grommet? I'm gonna try next weekend! Saturday night is movie and bow night for me!
