Default Stay Flo help!

Ok, so I use Faultless heavy starch for my korkers, but I want to try stay flo because I keep hearing how lots of people use it.

I don't know how to do the korkers when using starch in a jug ( or that is what Walmart had at least).

Is there a stay flo heavy or just the regular Stay Flo?

I need instructions please. I'm used to spraying mine not using liquid in a jug. What works best do you find?

I put my Sta Flo in a spray bottle. If I am using Satin ribbon, I do NOT dilute at all. If I am using Grosgrain then I mix 50% StaFlo, 50% Water. Sometimes if it is really flimsy grosgrain, I will up it to 75% StaFlo and 25% Water.

Just put a batch of bows in the oven.... using Sta-Flo, threw away the empty jug and sat down and saw this post. Here is what I do.

I purchased a empty spray bottle when I purchased my first jug of Sta-Flo. You can find them in the garden, laundry and automotive departments of Wal-Mart. You can also find them at most dollar-stores.

For my korkers... I mix 1/2 and 1/2 of Sta-Flo and water. I simply add in 1 cup of Sta-Flo and 1 cup of water (then repeat until my spray bottle is filled) I'm very happy with how these come out. I like my korkers stiff.

I do not think there is "Sta-Flo Heavy"... if there is I have never seen it. The Sta-Flo comes in a jug and there are directions on the back label for mixing the starch according to your preferences for how stiff you want your textiles to come out. I pulled the jug out of the trash and here is what the back label reads.

Light/ Add six cups of water to each cup of Sta-Flo
Medium/ Add four cups of water to each cup of Sta-Flo
Heavy/ Mix half Sta-Flo and half water
Extra Heavy/ Use undiluted Sta-Flo

Hope this helps!

Where can I buy the Sta-Flo besides WalMart.

This is what I have been using and I go through it pretty quickly:

Should I be trying something better and less expensive??? Can you show me a link to what it looks like?
Thank you.

I had a hard time finding it anywhere. I checked EVERYWHERE and I FINALLY found it at Windixie. If you go here it gives you a list of all the stores you can find it at. I tried a lot of these stores and they didn't have it, so you just have to look around.

EDIT: It helps if you give a link!

I have been able to find it at about every grocery store. It is usually hidden in the laundry section, either on the very top shelf, or on the very bottom.

I use this as well but it makes them too stiff. Do you dilute it?
