Default Bottlecap wet spots...

Frustrating, I sealed my images twice on the front and twice on the back and when I put them on the bottle caps last night the resin still soaked through in a couple of little places.. UGH!

I ordered some of the PU drops, can't wait til they get here!!!! No more liquid resin for me!

What do you ladies do? do you dip your image in glue? I just brushed it on, but it's getting through somewhere.

I've had the same issue...

Anyone have a way to make sure you get it all sealed that I might be missing?

I use ModPodge to put the image on the bottle cap, then use Micro glaze to seal it, then ModPodge to seal the seal...LOL Then the glaze. It's a PITA but so far so good.

May have to try that, either that or I'm going to have to buy some jewlery molds, no way I'm letting this liquid stuff go to waste. Ugh. Can't wait for my PU drops!

So Cutee, do you just go ahead and put your image straight onto your bottle cap after you print it out? Then seal it on the cap? I've been doing them seperate on freezer paper, maybe that's what I'm doing wrong.

Here are mine... :-(

At least my pendant came out good. :-) Got to finish it tomorrow.

I wasted a lot of caps when I first started out due to wet spots. The best thing that works for me is to go outside and spray the mod podge(its in a can like spray paint) over the images before punching them out. Then after I glue the images to the caps, I go around the edges of the image with mod podge(gloss) using a paint brush, then over the entire image. After that dries, I add colores doming resin over the top. Every once in awhile I still have one that gets a small spot, but definitely not as bad as what it was before.

I print my images out at walgreens, punch my image, run it through my Xyron sticker maker, stick it to my cap, paint my entire cap with a thin layer of et lite and let dry. I then pour on more et lite (that I have let sit for a while after mixing so it doesn't run all over the place) and I've never had a wet spot on one of my caps HTH

I spray an entire sheet with Matte Mod Podge spray. Then once that dries, cut it out. I then take the Mod Podge and coat the top area of the image, and then go around the sides. I let it dry, and then go over once more with mod podge on the top. Then add ET. Never had an issue.

Now, when I put the image on the inside of the cap, I ALWAYS have issues. I have yet to figure out how to go about not having wet spots.

Thank you ladies! Wow these things are a LOT of work haha! I went to HL today and bought some jewlery molds, going to start doing that with the liquid stuff.

I was looking through the net and came across this site, this lady has the cutest bottlecaps, I wonder if she's on here???

I have been having some trouble with both. I have epoxy domes and once I glue my image to the bottle cap (Im using gorilla glue) I apply the domes to the image but it looks like I have air pockets or something. What am I doing wrong. HELP
