Question Does this look at all right??

I am trying to figure out the loops for boutique bows. Does this look anything like it's supposed to? This is the best so far.

How do you know what length to cut your ribbon?

Is this for the surround-a-loops or for the twisted boutique?? You might wanna try it with some thinker ribbon,or a smaller bow. It looks to me like surround-loops. There is a formula for the length of ribbon. I don't use it I just have predetermined lengths. If you are going for the twisted boutique, try 21 inches of 7/8 ribbon?? I hope that helps!!

Yeah, it's for the surround loops, sorry.

The way I do it is this: I take the length that I make my bow and make the same length using the loops. So if your bow is 28", make your loops length 28". The fold it in half and mark that. That way you get it alittle better even because you know how much you have on either side.

Here is how I measure my surrounding. As the surroundings should nicely surround the top bow, I make the first loop and try it with the top bow, see if I am happy with how it is going to look. then I mark it, multiple the lenght for one loop by 4,voila!
Hope it makes sense?

Wow, I never even thought of this. Sometimes I think I'm trying to make making my bows harder than it needs to be. tfs
