Just stick in random things, that's my take on it I made a funky loopy one without paying for a tut that turned out pretty cute! and it was easy. I cant see shelling out the money for a tut when it was so easy to figure out...

Pretty much, just don't cut your string/thread/floss, put in your fillers, and then tie down with the thread of your choice, fill in all inside loops (with ribbon, tulle, marabou, korker, etc) then trim, seal, and I like to spray so they loops aren't floppy. After it is dry, I add my embellishments to the loops and done

To me, a 40MM french barrette makes about a 3-4" bow, a 50MM french barrette makes about a 4-5" bow, a 60MM french barrette makes about a 5-6" bow, and a 70MM french barrette makes about a 6-7" bow. A alligator clip makes about a 3-4" bow as well.

Great job, Juice! I haven't been brave enough to try loopy bows up to this point, but my sister-in-law's 5th birthday is coming up on Thursday, and I wanted to make one to match the tutu I made for her. I look forward to seeing more pictures as you continue to perfect the art!

Could you explain how to attach the loopy bow to an alligator clip. I know how to make the loopy bow and the funky loopy bow I just have no idea how you attach it to the alligator clip.

Also for those of you who are wondering how to make the loopy bow this video was very helpful to me...

Talking Re: My first Loopy Bows!!

I find these to be very fun and easy to make! I'm going to try more variations with mine I've only made a coupil but I think it's time to make them more and make them more "funky" lol Mine I find look very much like the ones my mom used to put in my hair.... IDK if that is good or bad... lol but my daughters love them and apparently all their friends in school say how awesome they are so I am uber excited since my daughters school is having a "yard" sale... lol and I'm going to have a bow table
