Default Fully lining a double prong clip

So, I usually only make partially lined clips, and I solely use the double prong style of alligator clip - it's just a personal preference, I guess. Well, my newest wholesale account (in Japan) wants their clips all fully lined because apparently that's what is preferred for Japanese buyers (what I was told anyway)..... so every tut that I find for fully lining clips is for the single prong type. Anyone have any tips? I feel like the glue will seep between the prongs and create a huge mess for me while I'm making them. I have some tape, but really prefer lining my clips with hot glue..... TIA!

Lisa

BTW - I did make them pay for the fully lined option - was that mean? They willingly paid it!

If you spread your glue on your ribbon instead the clip, it should work.

Yes that is what I do, occasionally it comes out the side, but then while it is still wran I grab and pinch it off and looks good. no mess no lumps.

I used to fully line the double prong clips b/c I didn't know about the single prong ones! When I first started I used Fabritac, but found after several months that they started peeling away from the clip. So, I switched to hotgluing them (i use the tiny tip glue gun from HL- which is SO much easier than a regular glue gun IMO).. Actually, I think the double prong ones are easier to make than the single prong b/c the glue smooths out between the double prong and they aren't as lumpy.
