Default should the french clip open on the Rt or Lt?

I am making some larger bows and attaching them to french clips. My question is; should I attach the clip with the pinch part on the right or left. If I am looking at the finished bow from the front view, should the pinch/opening part be on the right or left side. Or does it need to be done custom to the customers preference? I hope this makes sense to someone! TIA~Karyn

I always have the pinch open part on the left for consistency. If the customer wants it open on the right, I do it as a special order. HTH

Great question, I have always wondered this myself. Also, if it is a piggy set, should they open on opposite sides? So confusing!

Personal preference.

BUT, if you do a pigtail set, you will want one of each. Same with alligator clips, one opening each way.

i put mine so the opening is on the left (if you are looking at the finished bow) only because it's the easiest for me to put in my daughter's hair, lol. i do other side as a special order.
