i have sizzix and i use it every day! you can make this flower with any of the dies really, it takes between 8-10 cut outs depending on how full you want them. i make them out of felt and i can cut 4 layers at a time.

It does seem overwhelming when you purchase a sizzix.
IMHO go with the big shot! I have the orig sizzix machne and want one because the original machine wont work with the larger new dies.
a checklist (my opinion)..
1)bigz machine ..used is always ok with me
2)converter ..to make it work with all thin dies
3)adapter plates
4)dies-any sizzix, spellbinders, quickutz, cuttlebug

never boskut with felt,yuck

If you do decide to purchase feel free to pm me or post links if you question dies.

I agree. I don't think this was with a sizzix. and, btw, i don't like cutting fabric wth sizzix. I think that's better left to a cricut.

I have the big shot I use it almost everyday to make all sorts of hair flowers and broches (some similar to the pics) I love mine! I bought mine through stamipin' up and it comes with the adapters for the thinner dies. However the thinner dies do not cut fabric well at all so I wouldn't think that would be necessary it you primarily want to cut fabric. I also use it to cut my tags... I use transparency film to make my tags I love the way they look and the big shot makes it super easy! - I've also used it to cut chipboard shapes, vinyl etc. It is super versatile for cutting all sorts of stuff!

I've been trying to figure out how to make these flowers, does anyone know of a tutorial for them?

I make a LOT of these flowers. They have been popular for me. I haven't found a Sizzix die yet that makes them look right. If anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it! It's kind of a 4 leaf clover shape.

I just bought a rotary cutter, and it is awesome! I think I'm going to start making some just in circles. They look pretty good. Not as good as the scalloped ones, but cute for some things.
