Default Best way to cut your fabric for singed flowers

What is the best way to cut the fabric? I seem to have alot of waste. Is there a good or a right way to do it?

Thanks, i'll give it a try.

Ps: I'm still going to order some from you though. I don't know if I have the patience for cutting fabric.

If you are doing a more natural flower and doing more petal like shapes, I do a similar method but fold my entire fabric until a smaller square/rectangle and cute several petals. You do have more waste though but I save my scraps for leaves and tiny circles.

That's so helpful, just wanted to say thank you!

I have a circle cutter for my fabric flowers. You have to keep a sharp blade or it basically defeats the purpose of the circle cutter. I just do my circles close together, but i do have waste... but I use scraps for covered buttons and smaller baby cirlces.

I do the same...cut a strip of fabric and then cut the same size circles from it to minimize the waste. I used to cut out one flower at a time because I was so excited to start making the flower, but cutting all the different sized circles at once wasted a lot of material!
