Default Backing singed flowers...

Well I know we have a couple of singed flower experts on here so just wondering how do you back your flowers?

My first flowers are mine because I forgot to back them with felt and if I don't put it in my hair properly they kinda squish up. I figured adding felt to the back of these could prevent or at least reduce this from happening??

If anyone has any pics this would be great! I am loving my singed flowers. I am slowly building my satin and organza material collection, just need to find somewhere to put it!

I'm not an expert on this but I DO back my singed flowers with felt and haven't had any problem yet! A little bit of squishing still happens (specially in the hands of a 2 yr. old ) but it just adds to the charm Also, felt backing keeps the sewing thread tucked in so the little fingers can't pull and undo the whole flower!

I back mine with a little oval shaped piece of felt to cover the thread on the flower, and then hot glue it to my clip. Works great!

Have any of you ladies made large fabric singed flowers? I have had a lady ask me to make 4 1/2" ones for her... I've only made 2 1/2-3" ones, but I figured it wouldn't be difficult making larger ones as long as there were more layers..

Yes, I made one as a corsage for a dance, same principle, just everything is bigger and like you said more layers.
