Default Polymer Clay

I see so many of you creative HG girls making them for your centers and I would really like to give it a try. How do you shape them. I am guessing there is some kind of mold. Where can I get that? Do you have to cook them or anything. Any help would be awesome!!

Hi! For my polymer clay centers, I don't use molds....just my hands for sculpting. You can use molds if you want though. I have seen some cute ones sold on etsy.

After you sculpt what you want you bake in the oven according to clay brands instructions. There are lots of tutorials and resources available online to learn more!

Its actually really fun make them...but it does take a lot of time and patience!

Good luck!

I love polymer clay centers, but there is no way I could ever make them! I did see that Michael's had a bunch of cute clay molds last time I was there. They also had sooo many cute colors of polymer clay available. I wish I had the talent or patience to try making some. Good luck and post some pictures if you make any!

I think you have to have a lil bit of luck and talent to do them by hand LOL. My mother in law can sit down and just mash them out.. IT TAKES patience... GOOD LUCK and wtg to the ones that have mastered it

Does hot glue attach them to bows/clips or do you have to use E6000??

I use a gloss glaze thats made by Sculpey. Makes them shiny and adds extra strength.
