Default woven headbands

I just bought instructions for the woven headbands and was wondering...do you all use hotglue on them or do some use Fabri-tac? I use fabri-tac for almost everything, I just have always thought it held better than hot glue, just wanting opinions.... Thanks!

My husband helps me make them- and he prefers fabri-tac. I prefer hot glue- because I have no patiece what so ever.

That is so cool that your husband helps you! So you have had no problems with either kind of glue?

So far- no. With the fabri=tac- you do have to wait for it to set though.

He loves to do the weave part when he is watching TV! LOL Which helps me 100% because we can get twice as many done. He also seems to be able to pull it tighter so it has a smooth look. Sometimes I get a little slack and get bumps.

I am switching more and more things over to the fabri-tac. Mostly because the scars and burn marks on my hands are becoming painful!

I was thinking about this the other day though- I don't want to brig my glue gun to the shows- so the fabri-tac may be a good thing so it's possible to work on them at the booth. (If it's slow!)

I use Fabri-Tac. I just use an alligator clip to hold the end together while I weave. By the time I get to the end, it's dry enough to take the clip off and put it on the other end. I don't have a preference though. Hot glue works just as well. But I can use Fabri-Tac and sit with the kids and not have to worry that one of them is going to knock the glue gun over and burn themselves.

I use Fabric-Tac & have had no problems. It doesn't seem to take all that long for it to set up - just a minute or so. I like not being tied to an electric outlet when working on my headbands. I'm able to work on them in the car riding wherever (as long as I'm not the one driving - LOL).

Having your dh helping is great!! I wish mine would. He has helped w/punching holes in cards for my bows though. My 5 yr old daughter wants to help weave. I think w/enough practice she could get the hang of it. Don't know if she could pull tight enough though........

My kids have 2 headbands that they weave and unweave all the time. It lets them practice and I think it's a great skill to learn.

My husband also lines alligator clips for me too It's the small tedious things that he helps with when I am getting ready for a show. (like right now)

(I am a bit chatty today )
