Default Woven Headband confusion

I just made my first woven head band with three colors. I must be doing something way way wrong! The outside of the headband looks just like it should with two outside colors and my diamonds one color. BUT the inside does not have that pattern it is only two color stipes. I thought I was following the directions perfectly. Obviously not!

Just remember to continue your weaving on the inside as you go. That was the hardest part for me to learn. I thought of it as a May Pole and over and under all of the way around.

When I started mine were the same way! Check out the video! It should clarify the steps you are missing!

If you are only getting stripes you are not weaving under neath, you are just wrapping the ribbon around the back. On the front side of the headband you have to move ribbons & go under them, you have to do the same thing on the back side of the headband as you go around it. It sounds more complicated than it is & oncce you do it you will have a light bulb moment. As you start to weave the headbands look at the back side every few times to make sure you are staying on track so you don't have to unwrap a bunch of ribbon to fix it later.

I do not weave my inside I like the wrapped inside look better. That is just my opinion.

Thnx everyone. I was using the hair hardware video but i guess i was not following right. I will have to try again when I find the time. As for the one I made I guess it looks okay the way it is but I want to figure out the weave all the way around. Thanks again you guys are great!

I had the same problem!

I started weaving mine upside down...and checking the top and bottom every time! You will get better I promise!

Yep, you have to weave inside and out.
