Default Do you wash your ribbon?

I was making a two tone color hair bow with white and maroon ribbon. When I sprayed it good with Stiffen Stuff the maroon color ran onto the white.

Do any of you wash your dark color ribbon before using it? I have made some cheer bows, and I am so scared they will now run onto the girls uniforms, which are white tops.

Thanks for your help!
Angelia :-)

Cheaper ribbon will do this, and you don't need to saturate you bows to get a good stiff bow.

I always cook my colors seperate. I also use the same dowels for white- otherwise it soaks up the ribbon. But- I never thought about the girls cheering in the rain or anything- I would hope the bows wouldnt bleed.

Once I tried to wrap the dowel twice for korker and thought I could double the productivity. It came out mixed color korkers (I used shiff ribbon from RABOM). Not sure about washing the ribbon.

Yeah, for some reason you can't bake ribbon together. On a set of instructions, www.korkersandmore.com she talks about that.

I tested the ribbon I'm selling at www.hipgirlclips.com last time. I took a piece of brown/blue mist swiss dot and a piece of white/red swiss dot and washed using soap. Then put them on paper towel to dry. They didn't bleed! Phew.

Hey Michelle,

It looks strange when you open it but look on the bottom and you will see a scroll bar on the bottom. Scroll all the way over and you will see her korker instructions.
