Default Tutu Tulle

When you make a tutu is it better to use the Tulle on the roll or on the bolt?

I started my first ones with a bolt and did not like the way the cuts would look. I had trouble getting them straight. I also found that they tended to become ratty looking very fast.

Then I found this site and purchased the 6" rolls and would never go back! I have seen a person locally who makes "tutus" that look kind of like a buff puff and are just cut & tied tulle on a long peice of tulle and they look...um...different. To each their own but I really prefer the look of the 6" rolls.
