Default Korker help, please!!!!

I have been making korkers for awhile, but I am just not happy with the way they turn out They are no where near as round or as full as they should be. They always end up looking kind of flat. I am using 28 2 1/2 in peices. Am I using too much, not enough? Is ther a REALLY GOOD tut out there for these, I am even willing to pay some. HELP!!!!

Are you sewing them? I found my korkers were flat when I tied them, so i started sewing them. I use 30-36 pieces of ribbon and they look full and fluffy now

Add more pieces!

I use at least 30 2" pieces and the longer the pieces the more you need.

Also, if you are sewing them, how are you putting them on the needle?

I think they come out looking cuter and rounder when you place them all in the same direction on the needle. I used to alternate layering them on the needle, thinking they would be fuller that way, but in my opinion they aren't.

HTH!

If you only use 14 pieces are you using 3/8 or 1/4 ribbon? So if you use 30 pieces are they 1/4 or 3/8? I've used 30 pieces of 1/4, sewn them, and they turned out really round and full. I really fluffed and starched the heck out of mine though.

I use 30 pieces of 2 1/2 for most of mine and they look pretty full. How do you stack and secure them?

I tie mine. I have a little contraption that I made to stack them which does 6 across and 5 high. Then I pull them super tight when I tie them. I pull as hard as I can and then tie it.

I sew them, and kinda have a hard time with that.
