Default badge reels?

does anyone here know where I can find a tutorial on how to make badge reels? I am wanting to do like the monogrammed ones or just some cute design but I don't know how to go about doing it. I work at a hospital and all the nurses are requesting that I try this. Thanks so much

Not sure how everyone does theirs but I use #60 covered buttons - either the flat back or you can remove the wire shank with pliers - covering them as usual with whatever fabric and a lightweight liner so the metal doesn't show through. Rough up the face of the badge reel with sandpaper (not really necessary but I find it helps everything adhere better), apply a layer of E6000 to the reel and also to the back of the button - you don't need a whole lot. Let both sit for a bit so they get tacky then apply the button to the reel. I usually leave the reel alone for a minimum of 24 hours to let the glue set. All done! HTH

Yes the buttons and reels are sold separately. pat font runs group buys for covered buttons every so often - I think the August buy has already closed though. You may want to post in the ISO - In Search Of thread or check etsy for the supplies. I've purchased reels from twpmango and covered buttons from FiddlersCreekDesigns with no problems. Don't forget to pick up a tool for the buttons
If you'd like to try a few first LMK I can destash some reels and buttons for you - you'd need to pick up your own tool though, I think you can get them in a small kit at most fabric stores.
