Default How to attach little flowers to very skinny headband or elastic cord

I was just wondering how everyone attaches their flowers to the very skinny cord elastic headbands? With the skinny bands even the 1/8" I usually make one or two stitches with a needle and thread and then glue the flower on and top with felt backing but with the cord elastic, I don't think it's wide enough to stitch first. I am nervous that it will come apart if it's not sewn also. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I use felt. I put felt on the back of the flower, glue it to the elastic and then put another piece of felt on top of that. I have never had anything fall apart so I guess it works pretty good.
