Default X acto Blade Question

My mom is making the bow holders covered with scrapbook paper and she bought an XActo blade cutter to cut the paper. She has only done 6 letters and it seems as if the blade is dull already! It keeps pulling the paper when she cuts it and now the front of the holders have little pieces of paper missing. The first 2 she did cut perfectly. Has this happened to anyone else and if so how do we fix it. She's not going to have to buy a million blades for this project is she? TIA

Really? Okay well, I don't know what she is doing wrong. What do you cut your stuff on? Maybe that's the problem...she is cutting in on a piece of cardboard instead of a self healing mat. IDK

The cardboard is probably the problem. That will dull a blade super fast. Every time she is cutting she is probably getting into the cardboard. Get a self healing mat & a new blade & it should stop getting dull so quick.
