Default How to Adhere Bottlecap to Flower?

What is the best way to adhere a bottlecap to the center of a gerbera daisy with a rhinestone center? Do I try to pop the rhinestone off? It's on there pretty snug. I've heard of wood & buttons??? Also, can I use hot glue as I dislike breating in E6000.
Thanks so much!!!

I would take the rhinestone off. I've been using the felt pads that are meant for the bottoms of furniture legs. You can get a pack of 48 of them in the hardware department at Walmart. One side is adhesive, I put that side into the cap. Then, I run hot glue on the felt and attach it to the bow / flower. I've also used 1 inch round wooden discs, and those work well too, but the felt pads are just a little thicker and fill the cap a little better. You can get the wood discs in the wood crafts section at Michael's. HTH!

i save the flower centers and take off the fuzzy stuff then glue the flower center into the cap. i cut off the stem before hand tho. with rhinestone center flowers you can do what the above poster mentioned.
