Post Starching and baking?!

I want to start baking and starching my bows to make sure they keep shape. What is the best starch to use? Where can I get it? How long should I bake them??

I use FAULTLESS heavy starch. I have never had a problem. with the bows you don't have to bake long. I bake my korkers on 250 for about 20 minutes if that gives you a rough idea. I get the starch at walmart or even DG. HTH

How exactly do you starch? I bake my Korkers but don't use starch. I'd love to see the difference with starch.

I wrap my ribbon then soak them with water spray them with the starch and bake! It holds the shape better that way! HTH

It is basically the same you spray the bow and shape it then you put it in the oven for about 15 minutes on 225. I bake the korkers for about 20 min. Some ribbon bakes faster than others so if its different then what you are used to I would watch it closer. I sware I bake more ribbon in my oven than I do food! lol

I use the Faultless spray starch as well and I wrap my korkers and then spray them generously with the starch and place them on a baking sheet and bake on 275 for 30 minutes... If you bake a little longer that's ok too... The starch makes the curls really stiff... I like the end result
