Default Flip Flop Question

OK so i made a pair of flip flops and covered the thong part of it,,,and i think they look adorable though dh says the bows to big,, blah blah blah LOL

has anyone ever made them and didn't cover the thong part, they just attached the bow only? Can they be made like that or do yall think it looks tacky and unfinished???

IMO it looks better with the thong part covered.

Got a pic to show? I don't think I've ever seen the thong not covered?

I usually put some ribbon on the thong if I don't completely wrap it. If you go to my etsy site, you can see some of them. It's hard for me to describe. I am more of a visual person.

I love the way you just put a strip of ribbon on the thong part. That looks really good and easier than wrapping.

I also am in love with your yellow ribbon bow. We are a military family and love all things patriotic .

I wrap the ribbon down the thong also - It is my opinion that if the bow is NOT big enough - it looks wierd! I actually made a hot pink and zebra print and the bow was too small - that ended in the discard pile!

HTH!

Thanks so much!! My brother has been serving in the Marines for the last 10 years, and is up for deployment, so doing something "artsy" is kind of my way of saying thank you to all of the troops.
