Question Covered Buttons on Snap Clips..Newbie Question :)

Does anyone have any suggestions for attaching covered buttons on the snap clips? I tried hot glue and because it's contoured and moves/bends- it can be pulled off easily. I tried E6000 and I *think* it seems pretty stable, but don't know if it will pop off with time?
I've seen tutorials where they remove the shanks and thread wire thru and attach to the clips, also.
I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions on the best techniques. Thanks for any help!!

I wish I could help. But what I can say it that I just recently tried to attach a resin to a colored pink metal snap clip with E6000 and the very first time my dd work the clip, the resin popped off on all 4 clips I made that way. I was really discouraged. I've never had a problem with resins coming off when I've used E6000.

Wish I had a better answer though.

The only glue I can get to keep them attached is the E6000... But, my 19 month old daughter puts everything in her mouth- and, the warning label on the glue was enough to freak me out to stop using it.
I know you can use wire to attach them, but this is pretty time consuming.

What about glueing some felt down first, and then attaching the button to the felt on the end of the snappy clip.

This is what I have done if I'm using just plane snap clips. Usually though, I cover my snap clips with ribbon and then just use hot glue to glue the button and it works fine for me!
