How to end/seal a braided ribbon?
So I am making a friend of mine a pony streamer, and doing it in the colors of the school she works at.
She wants me to take 3 strands of ribbon and braid them (and add other ribbon of course). No problem right? WRONG!
I don't know what to do with the ends when I'm done braiding it.....how should I seal it and seal them together so the braid doesn't unravel but so it looks nice?
Should I heat seal the ends together or hot glue them?
I think it would look horrible if I did, but I'm not sure. I don't have any beads or anything I could put on the end.
I need ideas! HELP!
I may sell these at the next craft show if they look nice.
Re: How to end/seal a braided ribbon?
Hmmm, couple options I thought of...1. heat seal the ends and bring them down to a pointed end and hot glue the ends together, or 2. heat seal the ends, bring the ribbon together at the end w/ maybe 1" left loose at the bottom, and tie a little bow and hot glue where they meet. Idk, thats a tough one.
