Default Hair bow holder idea, and frugal

I saw something you all might be interested in.

You know those cheap ceiling tiles they sell at Home Depot?
They come on different sizes and look sort of like.....hmmm...
slightly holey sheet rock maybe?

Anyways, I have seen people take duct tape and secure the corners (with decor colored tape) then paint artwork on it.
Its a great canvas. Then they use it as peg board.
It's very light too.
You can hang with ribbon or just a hook.

They would make cute hairbow holders I think!
Im going to make a huge one for a peg board for my daughters wall.

My fav so far is the ones where the paint a basic little girl to match your child. Hair , eyes and all, in a basic dress.

The post above reminded me of this.
You could take this post and the one above and combine them with some yarn I think?

That is a great idea! And painting a face on too! I would glue some yarn on for hair and braid two braids on each side to hang bows on. Then put a bow on the bottom of the braids (with tails) to put my smaller clippies on! Just a thought!

I cant find an exact picture of what they sell at the fairs here but...
If you Google Ceiling Tile Memo Board got some similar hits.

Apparently the ceiling tile works like a canvas for peg board, or basically both.

You can also cover it wit fabric to get a more designer look rather than painting look

Anyways if you ever go to the Dahlonega Gold Rush in GA this is where they sell the princess looking ones to match your child

My mom bought one of these with strawberry shortcake for my daughter a few years back. I took small push pins and placed some glue on the back and attached the ribbon to the back to make my DD's into a bow holder. It is really cute, the ladies at the show personalized it with her name. My DH has the camera in his truck, but I will try and a picture tomorrow and post.

If you use them for shows be careful, if they get wet they turn to mush. And they are pretty easy to break with your bare hands, they are very lightweight.

I was going to say the same thing as Lildevil77 - the ceiling tiles will break very easily. Also, it you use to much paint - it can turn soggy & fall apart. I see people using them all the time though. So, good luck!
