I use the E-6000 also because I had lumpy problems when I first started making clips too. It seemed like my glue was dry before I could get the ribbon on there smooth. I have since read that if you buy the better quality hot glue you have less trouble. I have thought about buying some and trying because I don't really like the smell of the E600, though it hold great. I read that fabric tac doesn't hold as well over time.

I use Fabri-Tac with the hot glue on the underside - the side that lays flat on the head. It is a combination that works well. I used to just use Fabri-tac and on the above mentioned part - it would come apart after a few uses.

I use hot glue and also smooth it out. And often get the bumps too! For that reason I rarely make clips where it will show. I've tried E-6000 and it takes too long to dry. I'm going to try the low temp glus, though, I always use high temp!

I also use fabric-tac to line all my clips. It works great.
