Default How is this done?

I am hoping someone can help me figure out what I am doing wrong... I love these girls and order when I can from them, but when I try to make the same thing, my loops don't turn out the same way, might have to just settle for the difference. But, if someone can help that would be great.

This first pic is not mine, just showing what I am looking for... The second one is mine.

Thanks in advance.
Jennifer

If I understand you correctly, you made the red one and you want it to look more like the black & white one, right? If so, just lengthen your ribbon for the twisted boutique & make the front of the bow more vertical.

I, personally, think your bow looks wonderful I prefer your loops over the other one.

Yes ma'am. I made the red one. Everyone else thinks I am crazy. They like mine too. LOL For some reason I think the other one looks a little more cleaner? LOL Maybe it's just me.

But thanks I'll try that, if I can't get it, I'll just settle for the difference. My customers like mine too. So can't complain.

Thanks again.

Perhaps you just consider them the professional and yourself the newbie? Good luck! And post a success pic if it turns out. If it doesn't, let me know which method you use to make them & I'll help you figure it out some more tomorrow.

Your bow looks great. I like your bow and the difference could be from the bottlecap center .

That may be it... never thought of it. I have noticed by looking at others' I find myself more critical of my own work a bit more. LOL

Thanks. Now I am just trying to figure out the pricing on this one. I make this with the 7/8" and a smaller version with 5/8". Still not getting it. Right now I have the bigger one at $5 and $5.50 w/ BC and the smaller one at $4 and $4.50 w/ BC. Wonder if that is too much or not enough?? Well, thanks again.

I can only speak from my own experience, but when I made mine by hand, or with no template, your (red) bow is what mine looked like. Then when I started making them with a template they looked more like the black/white bow. I don't know if you or they use a template, but that was what happened to me. Hope it helps! BTW I like your bow better anyway (I just bought templates because I was having trouble keeping my loops even with some styles).

Yes ma'am. I use NBNG templates and for the same reason. I tried before and they looked terrible. LOL The loops were so uneven and I kept wasting ribbon with making bad bows and have noticed that as I keep using them and practicing they are getting better and better. Now my only trouble is the mini twisted but have come a long way since I first started almost 2 yrs ago.

Thanks.

That's what I was thinking. My bottlecap boutiques usually come out a bit more flat in the center. I think it looks adorable! I love that Minnie center

I agree with everyone else that your bow looks much better than the white/black one and I think the BC makes the center spread out more and that is why the loops are not sticking up quite as high as the white/black one.
