Ok, so I want to make a headband with a flower to match my dd's dress but I am a little clueless . Please help me lol.
1. What's the best way to put ribbon on a metal headband so it doesn't look like a mess and
2. Should the ribbon match the flower? Her dress is kind of a watercolor floral print. But I'm thinking it would look odd if the headband was one color and the flower another.
Thanks in advance for your guidance!!
Re: Headband help!!
Depends what size the metal headband is? If it's 3/8, then wrap the ribbon around on an angle, gluing the ends and then a few dabs in between. You could also just glue straight on top of the headband without wrapping, and leaving the underside plain (make sure to fold the ends under though). If it's a skinny headband, I'd just leave it and glue some thin ribbon folded in half over each end so that she doesn't get poked behind the ears.
The flower doesn't have to match, but it should go with the ribbon (meaning while not identical, the colour scheme works).
Just glue the flower on to the headband, and reinforce with a circle of felt at the back.
