Default ELMO tutu and ELMO top...HELP

Hello ladies,
Ok i have made a couple tutus here and there but usually very simple. My neighbor asked me to make this for her little girl, i can make the tutu but i have no idea where to get or make something similar for the top. she gave me a white onesie but i know it would look good if i added something to the top. any suggestions on how to make this, how many colors does the tutu have?

Here's a link to what she wants

So cute! My little Emma loves Elmo too. You could find an image online and print it out on iron on transfer paper (Wal-Mart carries it) and iron it on the t-shirt. Then you could add some bling or her name or something along with it! Or do stitching around the Elmo head just to make it look nicer? Good luck!

My suggestion would be to open the image you find online that you like and use PhotoShop or similar to take all the background out of the picture and size it to what you would like. Then get the iron on transfer paper from Wal-Mart and print your image onto it. After printing you iron on the Elmo image to the t-shirt. Does that make sense?

You will have to cut the Elmo head out anyway so I guess it doesnt matter what is in the background. When you print it out onto the iron on transfer paper you will have to cut around the Elmo head or whatever you decide to do so that there is minimal paper surrounding your image!

Heres some instructions I found with a little more detail of how to do the image, etc. before you print it!

If this doesnt help, I just googled iron on transfer instructions. I am sure there are tons of other sites with more info! Hope this helps and would love to hear about and see your finished product!

This tutu looks likes it's red and black with some orange ribbon tied to it. As for the top, could you find a picture of Elmo online and print it out on transfer paper?

You could applique on the shirt (which is what it looks like to me in the picture). I did this one for my DD's birthday. Just cut out the shapes freehand and zigzagged around them.

The tutu looks like it is just red and a little black. There looks like there are some orange and zebra (?) ribbon streamers tied to the waistband.

Good luck!!!

you can always go to the embroidery part on here and see if anyone would do it for you and how much. it shouldnt be too expensive to have it done with an embroidery machine and it would look really nice.
