Default making bottle caps tomorrow

So tomorrow is the big day (as long as JoAnns has some ETLite anyway). I have been reading bottle cap posts all day. I still have a couple questions.

1) I read you should cover them to avoid getting dust in them..how do you cover them?
2) the blowing through the straw to get out bubbles, this probably seems dumb but I am assuming you do this before they dry? If you use a lighter when do you do that to get out bubbles?
3) I have the 1" caps right now (not flattened). What size do you punch your image to be? Do you do it at one inch as well, and if you do....how do you get the ETLite to bond to the cap and not just the picture?

I think that is is for now LOL Thanks as always for the help!

i stick mine in a curio cabinet but you could use 2 cookie sheets that are the same size and put one on top of the other

i use a lighter, let them sit for a few minutes then run the lighter over them and they will pop!!

you need a 1inch circle punch, then use modge podge or a sticker maker to stick your images to the cap then add another coat of modgepodge over the top , let that dry then add the etlite over that.

I think that is is for now LOL Thanks as always for the help!

1- Follow the directions on the EL-Lite.
2- I bought a little beaker at Sally's that measures' ounces.
3- So you have the beaker, and two small glass bowls. I bought a package of cheap rubber spatulas at the dollar store.
I also bought a package of wooden scwers at the dollar store, they are good for mixing and also putting the mix on the caps. I also take some wet paper towels for wiping little messes.

Have fun, I have not had any problems yet. I did have a couple that I did not get enough modge podge on the cap, then the image lifted.

I use a Xyron sticker maker to get the images to stick. I tried blowing through the straw yesterday to get the bubbles out and it worked for some, but there were still a lot of bubbles in them. Definitely use a lighter for them. I've been making a lot of singed flowers lately, so all of my grill lighters were all out of lighter fluid! And I didn't think about that before I started!! I only made a batch of 12, but they all got ruined! Argh!!! I got hubby to buy some grill lighters last night, so i gonna try it again!

Our JoAnns didn't have the ETLite or any other resin. The closest Michaels is 45 minutes away so I am going to have to wait until next weekend to get over there. I wonder if it is something that home depo would carry?
