Default Tutu Length?

How long would you cut the tulle for a tutu is the person wearing it is a teenager?

And I think I remember reading something about wrapping tulle around a cookie sheet and then cutting at both ends?

I've only made one or two, but I would think it would depend on about how long the wearer wants it. I've seen tutus in all different lengths, so pretty much anything goes.

btw, I wrapped mine around a yard stick to get a longer length. Of course, I've only made them for my granddaughter, not to sell.

maybe you can try between 10 or 12 inches long...you could also ask her how short or long she wants it if your still unsure..

I remember reading somewhere that you can cut cardboard to make a template. Make it double the length that you want, wrap the entire roll of tulle around it, rubberband both ends (to keep the tull in place), and carefully cut the tulle on both ends. HTH!
